 The Wild Robot is one of my all time favourite novels for middle grade readers.
This a robot nature story where technology and the environment collide. Roz is a robot who is shipwrecked on a remote island. Roz needs to adapt and learn to survive in her new surroundings. She has many adventures and slowly befriends the animal inhabitants of the island. For more details about this novel and how Peter Brown wrote this story click here. I am now looking forward to reading The Wild Robot Escapes.
